The organization of large-scale gathering events such as that of TICAD 8 still
remains a risk factor for the transmission of epidemic-prone diseases. Thus, a
health protocol is proposed to guarantee the smooth running of the event and
safeguard the health and well-being of all participants. This health protocol
includes two measures:

General prevention measures at the various production sites the event,
-
Specific measures to combat the transmission of COVID-19.
1- General measures:
- Respect for physical distance;
- Obligation to wear a mask;
- Generalization of hydro-alcoholic gel dispensers in the spaces, Ventilation
of the premises, Cleaning and disinfection of the premises dedicated to
conference events,
- Display and reminder of barrier gestures to participants.
2- Specific measures:
Conditions of participation in the event:
- Obligation to present the passport for vaccination against COVID-19.
- Obligation to present a negative PCR test for Covid-19, carried out less
than 48 hours before boarding, or a negative TDR-Ag for covid-19, carried
out less than 24 hours before boarding for passengers not vaccinated.
- Recommendation for Contracting Travel-Medical Assistance.
Arrival at the airport:

Passage of participants through the event guest reception desk to facilitate
health control procedures.
- Present the vaccination passport OR the negative covid-19 test on
request.
On the work sites:
- Obligation to present the passport for vaccination against COVID-19.
- Covid test (TDR-Ag) daily at check-in and wearing of health bracelet.
- Periodic ventilation, cleaning and disinfection of work rooms.
Other Health Facilities for TICAD8:
The city of Tunis has public and private health structures where guests and
participants can receive care, if necessary. Medical antennas and an ambulance
service will be installed to cover all the summit sites, they will be available 24
hours a day during the event period.
For guests and participants who are under medical treatment, they are
required to bring their treatments with them with a medical prescription in case of
need for renewal.
Participants are responsible for all costs related to the use of health
services (apart from emergency care provided at the event sites). Also, it is
recommended that all foreign participants have personal health and accident
insurance (for possible repatriation).
