Bouden meets with Japan's Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs

Bouden highlighted the "excellent" relations of cooperation with Japan and said Tunisia is keen to further expand partnership, particularly in infrastructure, environment, health, renewables, technologies, higher education and agriculture, the Prime Ministry said in a press release. .

Progress in the implementation of the announced roadmap concurrently with the launch of structural reforms to improve the socio-economic situation was also outlined.

The Japanese official praised the "accelerated" pace of prepartions undertaken by Tunisia ahead of TICAD 8 set for August 27-28.

Japan, he said, wants to re-establish the pace of high-level visits for the post-COVID period and is willing to stand by Tunisia and scale up bilateral and tripartite cooperation to take partnerhip to the next level.

The Japanese official said there is need to develop regulatory frameworks in the shortest time possible to enourage Japanese investments and increase technical cooperation.

Bouden and HONDA Taro discussed international issues of common interest, mainly the state of affairs in Ukraine.
